Simplified Door Jamb Repair

We created Door Innovation to provide alternative, cost-effective solutions to two of the most common problems found in commercial door systems, i.e. rusted steel door frames and corroded aluminum door jambs. With extensive experience in the commercial door service industry, our team has fielded calls from customers with rusted door frames for many years. It's no secret that a full frame replacement can cost several thousand dollars. We listened to their pleas for a more affordable solution to door frame repair and knew there had to be a better way.

Our first product was the Jamb Anchor. The Jamb Anchor is designed to re-anchor aluminum door jambs that have lost integrity from attacks by salt, water, and cleaning chemicals. Over the years all kinds of “things” have been used to re-anchor these jambs. Often, they are unsightly and, in some instances, promote additional corrosion. The Jamb Anchor is engineered to provide a professional looking repair, a solid re-anchoring to surrounding surfaces, and add years of useful life to the door system without contributing to additional corrosion.

Our second product introduction was the Jamb Patch. The Jamb Patch is designed to replace the rusted portions of steel door frames. A common misconception about steel frame rust is that it results from salt attack, corroding from the outside-in. However, these frames rust from the inside-out due to moisture sitting in direct contact with the steel at the bottom of the frame jambs. This is why rust almost always appears first at the bottom of the frame. The Jamb Patch is designed to allow a simple, cost-effective repair of only the corroded portion of the frame, saving thousands of dollars per opening. In addition, like the Jamb Anchor, the Jamb Patch is engineered to deliver a professional looking repair, a solid re-anchoring of the frame jambs, and add years of useful life to the door system without contributing to additional corrosion.
